Why Staff Retention Is Your New Member Retention Strategy

This webinar is postponed. Please check back soon for the new date and time.

Tech burnout from disconnected systems may seem like a strictly internal issue, but recent research shows that those effects bleed into your membership and ultimately lead to churn.

Inefficient, disconnected tech is burning out association staff — and when staff struggle, member experience suffers. In this session, Kerri McGovern of CASE, Andrew Leasure of the Economic Club of Chicago, and Rob Miller of Momentive Software will dig into why staff retention is your most powerful member‑retention strategy and a critical driver of long‑term association sustainability.

Walk away with a roadmap to reduce burnout, support your team, and ultimately create a stronger, more sustainable member experience.

In this webinar we’ll explore:

  • The direct connection between staff experience and member retention. When staff churn disrupts programs and benefits, members disengage, and member attrition risk rises.
  • Why professional development tools built for members can also retain staff. Growth is the new currency: 2 out of 3 employees prefer skills development over a raise, and career‑path clarity doubles retention.
  • How tech burnout fuels turnover. The supermajority of employees experiencing tech‑driven burnout are already exploring other opportunities, citing repetitive tasks and manual data entry as the primary drivers.
  • The revenue impact of member churn. How internal instability accelerates it.
  • Actionable steps associations can take now. How to alleviate tech hurdles, streamline workflows, and create scalable processes to ease the impact of staffing transitions on member experience and revenue-generating programs.
