#GivingTuesday was approaching, and Homeless Health Care wanted to have its most successful year yet. They had such success with GiveSmart at its last gala that they decided to give [the platform] another try.

Challenge & Solution

The GiveSmart team quickly went to work and identified the most significant problem–their donors weren’t giving as much as they could. The team prepared a messaging calendar, complete with timing and content, to illustrate the impact HHCLA had been making and could make with additional funding. This allowed HHCLA to take a strategic approach to their #GivingTuesday campaign and to develop professionally designed assets that enhanced the overall presentation. The team provided structure and guidance throughout the campaign, including email, social media, and text messaging, to create a multi-channel approach to drive fundraising outcomes.

Results

With GiveSmart’s support , they were able to more than doubled the average gift size despite receiving only 56 new donors! By engaging their supporters and encouraging them to give more, they successfully raised $13,593 ($12,315 more than the previous #GivingTuesday campaign). Armed with strategy and support, HHCLA saw a significant improvement in donor response and can now continue using these practices to enhance its fundraising efforts year-round. Most importantly, this organization, which helps over 200 people per week, could now increase its efforts and do even more good!
