Momentive implemented Nimble AMS, built on Salesforce.com, to replace ASCRS’s existing AMS with a phased approach. To meet their aggressive timeframe, Momentive considered Nimble AMS implementation creatively and proposed a phased approach. By taking this approach, ASCRS did not have to endure yet another year in a subpar system.
Challenge & Solution
ASCRS was experiencing the following pain points with its previous association management system (AMS):
- Deadline Approaching – ASCRS’s current legacy system support was ending soon, and they were under pressure to move systems quickly.
- Technology Partner Wanted – ASCRS was interested in finding a technology partner who could provide not only an effective software solution but also efficient, timely, and helpful customer service.
- Disparate Data – ASCRS had several data management systems in place, with varying degrees of integration to their existing member management system. Several more key sets of data (e.g., committees, awards) were being managed in spreadsheets or Word documents throughout the office.
- Seeking a Better Staff Experience – ASCRS sought to improve staff efficiency and organizational effectiveness through a more intuitive, user-friendly AMS.
Momentive implemented Nimble AMS creatively and proposed a phased approach. Phase 1 included managing all aspects of ASCRS and ASOA membership (including self-service join and renewal), as well as complete integration with 3rd-party applications and both ASCRS and ASOA websites. This phase focused on all the critical functionality and requirements that ASCRS and ASOA needed immediately at launch.
Phase 2 included elements that ASCRS and ASOA still needed but were not explicitly required at launch. This included remaining elements, such as product sales, education management, Government Relations, integration with email marketing, award program management, and Certification Management.
Results
- One Centralized Data Source – Nimble AMS will be the primary data source, providing ASCRS & ASOA with a 360-degree view of their individual and organizational customers. ASCRS & ASOA will be able to run reports from a single source that identify their members’ total engagement with ASCRS & ASOA.
- Seamless Member Transactions – Nimble AMS is fully integrated with both ASCRS.org and ASOA.org websites, so that all transactions on the websites (e.g., membership joins and renewals, event registration, updating individual and company profiles) occur in real time with no staff intervention required, including credit card payments.
- Plays Well with Others – Nimble AMS is fully integrated with third-party tools ASCRS uses, including email marketing and event applications.
- Cloud-Based AMS – Remote staff have the same type of access as “in-house” staff.
- Reporting without IT Help – Staff can efficiently run reports and queries without intervention from IT staff and can easily export and schedule reports.
- User-Friendly & Intuitive – Staff can efficiently work within the system, even if they are not daily users of the AMS. The User interface is easy to navigate and consistent.
